Alpaca Acres Farm & Fun is bringing a little country magic to Western Maryland this fall with a one-of-a-kind corn maze honoring the life and legacy of American treasure Dolly Parton and her incredible Imagination Library!

The collaboration with Dolly’s Imagination Library had been in the works for more than a year, and we originally announced Dolly as the theme of our 2026 corn maze and Fall Fest before her passing. We chose Dolly because she is so deeply loved and admired and because her music, farming roots, generosity, and love for children so closely reflect the values of Alpaca Acres. While we never could have imagined the unexpected news that followed our announcement, this year’s “Get Lost with Dolly” corn maze now takes on a whole new meaning and significance as we honor her extraordinary life and lasting legacy.

Fans and farm lovers alike are invited to “Get Lost with Dolly” in a special Dolly-themed corn maze during the farm’s Annual Fall Fest, September 19 – October 18, 2026.

“We are deeply humbled to have the opportunity to honor Dolly’s extraordinary life and enduring legacy, a true American treasure whose impact will continue to be felt for generations,” said the Hott family, owners of Alpaca Acres Farm and Fun. “Dolly’s impact on the world and her love for farming is immeasurable, and our corn maze tribute now takes on new meaning and significance as we honor her and her beloved Imagination Library.”

And while the maze may be the star of the season, Fall Fest at Alpaca Acres is packed with even more ways to make memories... Enjoy family-friendly attractions, visit some of the alpacas, snap some photos in the pumpkin patch, and follow Spookley the Square Pumpkin’s Storybook Trail. Then, get lost in this year’s Dolly-themed Corn Maze – simply scan a QR code with your phone to choose the easy map or the challenging one! Be sure to stop by The Farm Store for a souvenir, then make it the perfect fall day with lunch or dinner from The Farmyard Food Truck. And of course, no visit is complete without one of our famous Apple Cider Slushies topped with our homemade Cider Donuts!

And if the fun attractions and Dolly-themed maze weren’t enough, your visit could also put you in the running for some Dolly-inspired prizes, including the Grand Prize of 4 Tickets to Dollywood AND a lodging certificate toward a stay in the heart of Dolly country!

Prior to her passing, Dolly shared her excitement about the collaboration, saying, “I think getting a little bit lost can be a whole lot of fun, and I hope everyone has the best time wandering through the maze, making memories, and enjoying a little country magic. “I’m especially grateful for the support of my Imagination Library and am excited to invite people out to get lost in this year’s country music corn maze for a little fun, laughter, and a real good reason to get lost.”

Dolly’s family beautifully reflected on her roots, saying, “Dolly was a farmer, just like her daddy; he farmed the soil, she farmed songs of happiness.” That sentiment makes this year’s tribute especially meaningful for the Hott family and everyone at Alpaca Acres, where farming, family, and creating happiness for others have always been at the heart of what they do.

About Dolly & the Imagination Library

Launched in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is the world’s leading early childhood book gifting program and the flagship initiative of The Dollywood Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since its founding, the program has gifted more than 300 million free books to children across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland. Each month, the Imagination Library mails over 3 million high-quality, age-appropriate books directly to children’s homes. Every enrolled child receives one book per month from birth to age five, at no cost to families. Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write, Dolly created the Imagination Library in her hometown of Sevier County, Tennessee, to inspire a love of reading from the earliest years. In true Dolly fashion, she soon shared that dream with other communities that wanted to give their children the same opportunity to Dream More, Learn More, Care More, and Be More. Today, the program is made possible through a unique partnership model in which funding and support are shared between Dolly, The Dollywood Foundation, and hundreds of Local Community Partners, along with state, provincial, and national partners. Together, these partners help bring books into the homes and hearts of millions of children around the world. The Imagination Library’s impact has been widely studied, with research consistently showing positive effects on early childhood development, kindergarten readiness, and family reading habits.
