Spring is here! It was a typical Garrett County March with sunshine one day, snow showers the next, but the flowers and trees are budding and Mother Nature is promising warmer days ahead.

Warmer weather means even more fun events and we’ve got a bunch this April, including many fund-raisers for various worthwhile organizations. One of the most anticipated events is a return of a local favorite: Amazing Grazing, a Taste of Garrett County. For more information, read Mike Fratz’s informative article starting on Page 28. The Oakland Civic Club is hosting their 5th annual Anything Goes Yard Sale & Makers Market on Saturday, April 26…a great place to look for one of a kind items as well as great bargains. Later that day, don’t miss HART for Animals annual Drag Queen Bingo…a truly unique and entertaining evening.
