April 2024 Issue
Dear Friends,
Another winter is in the books and Wisp Resort closed for the 2023-2024 ski season in early March. Lack of natural snow didn’t stop them and they were still able to have a great season. We’ve survived March’s fickle weather and I’m sure we can all say with a collective sigh: Come on Spring!
As the mountain wakes up from its winter slumber, so does its people. You’ll find a lot more activities listed in our Calendar of Events including the return of some favorites plus lots of new offerings to fill the (hopefully) warm spring days.
As we celebrate Earth Day this month, Collen DuBose takes a look at sustainability in Garrett County, namely the effort of various business owners to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Check out his informative article beginning on Page 6.
Be sure to read his Business Spotlight which shines on Taylor Made Real Estate as they celebrate their 10th year in business (Page 26). As always, local Mike Fratz takes a look at some of our wonderful businesses and upcoming events in his popular column The Mike Drop (page 32).
Whatever your pleasure this Spring, Enjoy!
