The Deep Creek Lake Lions Club will host its annual Boat Auction on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the club’s park located at 1249 Bumble Bee Road in Accident, Maryland. The event is open to the public and serves as a key fundraiser supporting the club’s Blind Skier and Camper Programs at Deep Creek Lake.
Last year’s auction drew more than 60 bidders from five states, with over 50 boats sold. Proceeds directly benefited local programming designed to provide outdoor recreation opportunities and support services for individuals with visual impairments.
This year’s auction is expected to continue that momentum, offering a wide selection of boats and recreational items for bidders of all experience levels.
For boat owners facing costly repairs or simply ready to move on, the Lions Club offers a meaningful alternative: donation. Instead of “busting out another thousand” to get a boat running, donors can contribute their vessel to the auction. The club handles hauling, and donors receive a tax deduction based on the auction value—while directly supporting impactful local programs.
The club is currently accepting donations of: Boats (all types), ATVS, Snowmobiles, and other recreational vehicles
