If you live in Oakland, work in Oakland or have visited Oakland in the past four decades, it is highly likely that you have seen “Fast Bobby” Eslin. Born in Bangor, Maine in 1941, Bobby fell in love with our area in his travels and has remained here ever since, founding “Bobby’s Delivery Service” in 1984.
On August 8th Bobby will celebrate his eightieth birthday, a momentous occasion that surely will not slow the ever active “Fast Bobby”.
Mowing lawns, shoveling walks, delivering lunches and other items keep Bobby as busy now as he has always been.
Bobby wants to share his appreciation with all of the fine people and businesses of the area he loves. Some of those that Bobby thanks are Garrett County Sheriff’s Dept., everyone at City Hall, BB & T Bank, Maryland State Police, “my new friend Connie Lantz”, Garrettland Realty, J & S Pawn Shop, Sunrise Sanitation, The Junk Store, Success Carpet, MasterCraft Printers, Garrett Treatment Center…and, as always “all of the fine folks at Englanders who have meant so much to me over the years”.
If you see “Fast Bobby” in your travels, wish him a happy birthday and, remember, if you need something shoveled, mowed or delivered, call him at 240-321-5755…Bobby’s Delivery Service, as dependable, and “fast”, as always.
