On Saturday, July 18, Garrett County will come together for a once-in-a-generation celebration honoring the people, places, and stories that have shaped our community over the past 250 years. This family-friendly community gathering will celebrate local heritage while looking toward the future. From noon until 10:00 p.m., attendees can explore exhibits, enjoy live music, visit with community organizations, and take part in various experiences. Enjoy the Hometown Heroes exhibit, Heritage Hall displays, Veterans Park, the Stars and Stories Kids Zone, vendor and nonprofit exhibits, the Spirit of ‘76 Biergarten, and the Freedom on Wheels Car Show.
Whether you are a lifelong resident, a recent arrival, or a visitor who loves this corner of Maryland, Garrett 250 offers an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, celebrate our community, and create new memories together.
