Little Yough Summer Music Festival — Featuring The New Haven Band. Mountain Fresh Pavilion, Oakland, 7 PM. This annual festival showcases singers/songwriters from across the country and displays a variety of different genres and musical styles. Concerts begin at 7 PM. Food is available for purchase but feel free to bring your own picnic or bottle of wine. Bring your chairs and blankets and relax for a night of music under the summer skies. Artist Studio Tour – Both days, 11 AM to 5 PM. This annual Artist Studio Tour is a great way to interact with local artists and learn about their creative process as you enjoy the scenic drives around Garrett County. The self-guiding tour route spans the county from north to south and includes more than 20 artists at 8 locations. Unique, hand-made artwork will be on display and available for sale. Artists will be on hand to share details about their creative inspiration, technical processes and the tools and materials they use to make their hand-crafted work. Saturday, July 27
Kitzmiller Homecoming – Kitzmiller School Yard, begins at 10 AM. This local hometown event features local vendors including craftmakers, photographers, artists and musicians. There will also be historic carriage rides, inflatable entertainment for children, food, games, make and takes, sporting tournaments, and live music. Later in the day there will be a fireman’s parade including surrounding fire departments, clowns bands, politicians, and other performers. The day will conclude with a fireworks display. Friendsville Flotilla — Friendsville Town Park, Join us for the annual anything that floats on the river event! Prizes for a variety of categories. There is no registration fee, but participants must sign a release form. All participants must register at Precision Rafting in Friendsville between 1 and 2 PM.
