Mountain Fresh Farmers Market – Mountain Fresh Pavilion, downtown Oakland, 10 AM to 1 PM through October. Our old-fashioned market features fresh vegetables, fruits, berries, fresh and dried herbs, baked goods, jams & jellies, fresh eggs, grassfed meats, handmade crafts and more.

Pocket Park Movies –Mountain Fresh Pavilion in downtown Oakland, 8 PM every Thursday evening beginning June 13 and ending August 15th. Yoga in the Lavender Fields — Deep Creek Lavender Farm, 8:45 – 10 AM. Come enjoy a 60 minute Gentle Stretch Yoga Session with Sheri Kosh of Beach to Peak Yoga. RSVP by the night before. Western Maryland Amateur Golf Tournament – The 56th Annual Western Maryland golf Tournament is a men-only 3-day stroke play tournament with an optional practice round included on August 15th. It is open to all golfers with varying handicaps. Prizes will be given to the top 30 players as well as the winners of each flight. There is also a Senior Men Flight. Oakland B&O Museum Ticket to Ride Charity Tournament — Oakland B&O Museum, 1 – 5 PM. The Mountaintop Tabletop Club presents a charity Ticket to Ride Tournament. Come play this fantastic board game…a railroad building game that is simple to learn and fun to play. The game is for players 8 and up so bring the whole family. Admission is $6 per person with all proceeds benefitting the Oakland B&O Museum.

You’ll start your hand, then proceed to each of the next lakeside businesses (by boat or by car) to get your next card, including a pop-up destination at the dam! At the end point of the event, everyone will play what they’ve been dealt and the best hand wins our prize package — hundreds of dollars in gift cards, sports memorabilia and more.
