We will set up in the cool, lush grass next to the pasture where we can watch the buffalo roaming. You will leave feeling relaxed and balanced. Rupa Hulet will be our instructor. This two-day event celebrates the rich history of Mountain Lake Park with lectures, historical portrayals, musical performances, historic home tours, family-friendly activities, artisans, food and more. Victorian Chautauqua Writer’s Workshops – July 2021 will mark the first year for this five-day series of writing workshops. Four different workshops will be guided by experienced instructors/authors and genres of writing will include composing one-act plays, other forms of theatrical writing, creative writing, personal essay, memoir and more. These small-group workshops will be divided into four different age groups and held in Oakland locations including The Ruth Enlow Library, Out Town Theatre, and other town spaces. A fourth class will be held at the Mountain Lake Park Town Hall. Attendees will have the chance to benefit from working in small group settings and will be offered one-on-one help from instructors.
