Winter continues here on the mountain and that pesky groundhog has promised us it will continue into March. That is good news for skiers everywhere, as conditions at Wisp have been stellar this winter and the season should continue well into this month.

As we await the first buds of spring, there remains several ways to spend the days (and evenings) so make sure to check out our Calendar of Events (page 14) and Live Music Guide (page 76) for the latest. The DCL100 celebration continues this months with an informative lecture series about the origins of the lake. Read more about that on Page 48 and don’t miss Collen DuBose’s article covering a timeline of significant events that brought us to the destination we are known as today (Page 6).

Mike Fratz spotlights a local institution, Deer Park VFW 10077, an organization that has helped many in our community and offers great food and fun in addition (Page 24). We also take a look at some upcoming events for the newly rebranded Stage West (formerly Garrett Lakes Arts Festival) on Page 30. Mark your calendars and get your season tickets now…this is a season you won’t want to miss.
