A Cumberland favorite comes to Deep Creek

Shooters Bar & Grill is a well-known name in neighboring Allegany County. A Cumberland staple since 1948, the Shooters name is synonymous with good food and good times and is one of the oldest continually operating businesses in the area.
The business was purchased in 2014 by Cumberland native Craig Knippenberg who renovated and updated the space and created a new menu emphasizing high quality food made from scratch while maintaining the already popular ambiance.
Craig owns a home at Deep Creek Lake and has been enjoying the area his entire life and had had long been interested in opening a business in the area. When Sorellee’s Pub came up for sale, he and his team knew it was the perfect place to open a second location.
He purchased the building last fall and spent several weeks remodeling the space, reopening in early October. As in the Cumberland location, the Deep Creek Lake Shooters Bar & Grill offers dining options for young and old along with a great selection of craft beer and premium spirits for your enjoyment.
A “neighborhood bar and grill known for its family-friendly atmosphere and great food”, Shooters features a diverse and unique menu. From appetizers including fresh cut or beer battered tater tots, house-made chips, buffalo chicken dip, steamed shrimp and loaded mac and cheese, this is surely the place to warm up on a cold winter’s afternoon.
Shooters is known for their specialty burgers which include a double stuffed cheeseburger, bourbon and bacon burger or crabby burger. Other sandwiches include favorites like a classic Philly sub, BBQ pulled pork, Cheesy Chesapeake Chicken, crab cake or fried haddock.
If you want to eat lighter, you can enjoy one of their fresh salads with house-made dressing or house-made soup. This location also features delicious pizzas. You can build your own or try one of their creations — Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Caprese Pizza, even a Dill Pickle Pizza!
They have a Kid’s menu and all menu items are available to dine in or carry out. Looking for something different for your next event? They offer catering as well.
Shooters is also a great place for a hearty lunch and with $7 Speedy Lunch Features including a soft drink, the price is right too (offered Monday – Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM).
Their weekly specials are also wallet friendly…and delicious. Join them on Sunday for All You Can Eat Spaghetti for only $7.99, kids 12 and under eat free (dine in only). On Monday & Friday, you can enjoy a slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza for $1 from 3 – 7 PM (dine in only). Tuesday is Wing Day — enjoy one of their 15 unique flavors for a discounted price.
On Wednesdays from 3 – 7 PM, dine-in patrons can purchase a pitcher of Miller Lite along with a large cheese or pepperoni pizza for just $19.99. Get a pint with a small pizza for just $5.99.
In addition to the diverse food menu, the restaurant also offers a wide range of beverages including soft drinks to domestic and rotating craft beers, as well as wine, cocktails and an extensive selection of premium bourbons and whiskeys…with tasting flights available.
