Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales Marks 10 Years
Written by: Collen DuBose
As Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales commemorates its tenth anniversary this month, the local real estate firm reflects on a decade of growth, community service, and unparalleled dedication to clients. Established in 2014, Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales has become a cornerstone of the Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County real estate landscape, amassing an impressive $1.6 billion in sales within its first ten years of operation.
The journey of Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales began with a vision – a vision that has since transformed into a thriving reality. In 2014, Jodi Taylor Refosco, her husband Joe Refosco, and brother Chad Taylor leveraged their expertise in vacation rental management to venture into the realm of real estate. Recognizing the potential for expansion, they forged a partnership with local top-producing sales agent Jay Ferguson. This partnership laid the groundwork for the establishment of Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales on April 15, 2014.
With Jay Ferguson’s leadership, the company attracted seasoned agents from across the region, setting the stage for exponential growth. The addition of Betsy Spiker Holcomb, another esteemed sales agent, as a co-owner further solidified Taylor-Made’s position in the market. The acquisition of a local brokerage in 2016 marked another milestone, prompting numerous agents, including Broker/Sales Manager Bob Carney, to join the Taylor-Made team.
Over the years, Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales has expanded its reach beyond Maryland into neighboring Pennsylvania counties and West Virginia, focusing on areas such as Morgantown, Canaan Valley, and Snowshoe. Despite these expansions, the company’s commitment to its clients and community remains unwavering.
“Taylor-Made is a different kind of real estate company, built on teamwork and culture,” emphasizes Jay Ferguson, Co-Owner/Sales Agent for Taylor-Made. “Our biggest strength has always been our people.”
Indeed, the success of Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales can be attributed to the dedication and collaborative spirit of its team members. With more than t
wo dozen sales agents led by Broker/Sales Manager Terah Crawford, along with in-house marketing, media, and administrative staff, the company continues to set the standard for excellence in the industry.
Beyond its real estate achievements, Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales is deeply committed to giving back to the community. Community engagement is at the heart of the company’s culture, from volunteering with various organizations to supporting local non-profits and events.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we also celebrate our clients—without whom we would not be here,” explains Chad Taylor, Owner of Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales. Our business is about more than the next sale. It centers around providing exceptional service and treating people the way we would like to be treated.”
Looking ahead, Taylor-Made Deep Creek Sales remains dedicated to its community and clients, with a firm resolve to continue making a positive impact. As they embark on the next chapter of their journey, the entire Taylor-Made team extends their gratitude to clients, team members, partners, and the community for their unwavering support.
“Our growth is a testament to your trust, and we look forward to another decade of realizing your dreams together,” concludes Jay Ferguson. “We are blessed to have many talented people working together to make a positive impact on our community.”
