Kids & pups costume contest / trick or treat – Moonshadow, Visit Moonshadow this weekend for a photo costume contest and trick or treat! Come inside the restaurant during operating hours to receive magnets and organic treats for the kids. Three lucky winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to Moonshadow. The photo contest is open to all children and pups in a costume. Take a photo in from of Junior, the tiny house on wheels, and upload it to our Facebook page by Sunday, November 1st at 10AM. Winners will be announced via Facebook Live at noon that day.

Hocus Pocus Drive-in Movie Event — Town Park, Oakland, MD, 7:30 – 9:15 PM, weather permitting.. Hosted by Oakland Little Yough Family Flicks. Little Yough Family Flicks is excited to present the Disney classic, “Hocus Pocus” as a Drive-in movie. Children 12 and under are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and treats will be available. Admission is free, but space is limited. It is recommended that guests follow the COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines.
Saturday, October 31
Greene Turtle Drive Through Trick-or-Treat – 4 – 6 PM. Bring your car around the circle to receive your Halloween tchotchkes and snacks. Kids in Costume eat FREE with purchase of full-priced adult meal. Ages 21 and up in costume will have drink specials all night long.
Town of Oakland Trick-or-Treat — 5:30 – 7 PM. Children 12 and under. Community participation is voluntary and should be indicated by turning your porch light on. We encourage all to follow CDC and GCHD COVID guidelines.
Town of Grantsville Trick or Treat — 5:30 to 7 PM. Houses with porch lights on are participating. We respectfully suggest masks be worn and social distancing is followed.
Shady Acres Halloween Race — Shady Acres Motocross. Gates open at 7 AM, Registration from 8 – 10:30 AM, Riders meeting: 11 AM. Join us for our annual Halloween MX Race. This is a bike only race. Dress in your best costume for chances to win prizes. Decorate your pit area and bring candy for Trunk or Treating. Gate fee is $10, Race registration is $30 per class, $20 for 50cc; $40 for ProClass. Visit their Facebook page for more information.
Halloween Party — Mountain State Brewing Co, 6 – 10 PM. A COVID twist on our annual Halloween Party! Connor will be our DJ per usual, and will be coming around to each table to judge costumes for our costume contest. www.mountaintstatebrewingco.com
