Bring your friends and family to the Springs Historical Society grounds this summer and fall – just three miles north of Grantsville, MD in Amish country. The Springs Farmers’ Market offers great shopping adventures every Saturday May 22nd through September 18, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. You will find fresh produce and flowers, local baked goods, giant flea market as well as beautiful crafts and antiques, 8:00 am – 1:00.

A self-guided nature trail will be available along the Alta Schrock Nature Trail, an easy 4/10 mile walk in the woods adjacent to the Farmers’ Market grounds.

We are hoping to be able to open the Springs Museum (tentative due to COVID-19 restrictions). Here you can take a walk back in time – a two-story treasure trove depicting how the early settlers worked and played. Check the website and Facebook for open hours. You can also browse and purchase genealogical/historical journals at the museum – over 60 years in print. Go to the Publications page of our website to locate a free index and order information.

End the season with the grand finale – the 63rd annual Springs Folk Festival on Friday and Saturday October 1 & 2, 9:00 am- 5:00 pm both days. Over 100 skilled craftsmen and vendors will re-enact the skills of our forefathers and offer beautiful craft items for you to take home and share as unique gifts for family and friends. Enjoy two full days of bluegrass and gospel music. Operating old farm equipment will demonstrate life on the farm – kids and the young-at-heart will enjoy the tractor-drawn hayrides. PA Dutch foods including pancake and sausage meals, homemade donuts, bread made in an outdoor oven and much more will be available at booths scattered along the way.

All dates and events are subject to change due to COVID-19. Go to www.springspa.org for more information and photos, Facebook or call 814-442-4594, all located 1711 Springs Rd., Springs, PA 15562.
