Come spend Mother’s Day with your family at the Garrett Choral Society spring concert!

We’ll be singing some Mother Goose nursery rhymes for you. Yes, we have parts from eight different children’s songs that originated in the US or UK during the 1800’s and earlier. Remember “Skip to My Lou,” or “Star Light, Star Bright,” or “Georgie Porgie?” You will recognize some of these tunes, while others have a modern twist!

Another section of the concert is comprised of seven uplifting spirituals such as “When the Saints Go Marching In”, “Sing Out, My Soul”, and “Little David, Play on Your Harp.” These faith-based songs are exciting and inspirational! The haunting “Prayer of the Children” is a sobering reminder of the effects of war, while people are yearning for peace.

Please plan to join us on Sunday, May 10, at 3 pm in the Daniel Offutt III Theatre in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Garrett College.

Admission is free for children 5 and under. Student tickets are $5, and Adult tickets cost $15.To choose your seat and pre-purchase tickets online, go to https://www.performingartsgc.com/. (Note that there will be a “convenience fee” for credit card purchases.)
