The second annual Putt for Pets golf tournament will be held on Friday, June 21 at Thousand Acres Golf Club in Swanton, Maryland, and benefits HART for Animals. Top prizes for teams placing first, second, and third, as well as contests such as closest to the pin, longest drive, putting, and floating green, will be awarded. Players also have a chance to win $25,000 in cash with a hole-in-one on the 17th green.

“Our inaugural tournament last year was a huge success,” says Putt for Pets chair and HART Board Member Joe Zamoiski. “The scramble made it fun and accessible for both low and high-handicap players!” The tournament netted over $23,000 for HART’s mission of saving the lives of homeless animals in Western Maryland and Garrett County.

Each player receives a shoe “swag” bag, coffee and donuts, a drink ticket, and an outdoor barbeque lunch featuring fresh fruit, grilled burgers, hotdogs, and chicken with a build-your-own toppings bar, and multiple side dishes, catered by Ace’s Run Restaurant and dessert, catered by Trader’s Coffee House.
